This route combines traditional places and natural landscapes of southern Peru, Arequipa and Cusco; two regions that will not only show its architectural beauty inherited by our ancestors, but also, invite you to know its natural landscapes such as the Colca Canyon, ancient terraces, its friendly people, its traditional clothing with unique embroidered made without any mold, their traditions, customs and economic activities where your visit will play a very important role because your participation and collaboration with communities in a completely pure and natural environment. Furthermore, in the province of Espinar in the region of Cusco, you will visit one of its most beautiful natural attractions such as “Suyckutambo” which training cost the nature, thousands of years. This is a point at which converge the throats of three rivers Apurimac, Callumani and Cerritambo to join in and create the Great Apurimac River. This place is made up of mountains of 80 meters of volcanic origin. Not only you will be in contact with nature but also you can explore and wander in the place before visiting to the imperial city of Cusco.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arequipa ciudad

  • Transfer from airport to hotel and accommodation.
  • Visit to the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, San Ignacio chapel, church and cloisters of the Company, Santa Catalina monastery and the spinning mill and interpretation center camelids.
  • Dinner and rest.

DAY 2: Arequipa – Colca valley – Chivay – Cabanaconde – viewpoint of Achachiwa

  • At 06:00 h, the guide will pick you up from the hotel.
  • Depart to Chivay, the capital of Caylloma province where the Colca Valley is located. On the way stops will be made on the pampas of the vicunas to see South American camelids and at the viewpoint of the Volcanoes (4910 m.a.s.l. ) to see the Cordillera del Ampato.
  • Arrive in Chivay where the tourist ticket – BTC is controled. After it, we will have lunch to then depart to Canaconde village.
  • Arrive at Cabanaconde and accommodation at the hotel. Free time to wander and visit the viewpoint of Achachiwa from where there is another view of the Colca Canyon, in addition to, you will see the natural scenery, a tiny waterfall and the fertile valleys.
  • Dinner and rest.

DAY 3: Cabanaconde - viewpoint of Cruz del Cóndor – Sibayo

  • At 06:30 h, breakfast.
  • 07:15 h, departure to the viewpoint of the Cruz del Condor.
  • Arrive at the viewpoint where we will spend time to observe the flight of the Condor (Vultur gryphus). After it, we will return for the right side of Colca River observing along the way the villages of Madrigal, Lari, Ichupampa and Coporaque. We will continue along the road that connects the districts of Tuti up to Sibayo. The villagers of Sibayo, preserve their traditions and customs that have been handed down from generation to generation. They are characterized for being hard-working and friendly. Among its economic activities we have agriculture and grazing. We will spend the rest of the day with them.
  • After lunch, we will visit Callalli village where we will be delighted to observe the Castles, volcanic rock formations and optional visit to the caves of Mollepunku, where there are pictographs of lithic period (6.000 to 3.000 BC).
  • Dinner and rest.

DAY 4: Sibayo - Suyckutambo - Cusco

  • At 06:00 h, breakfast.
  • At 06:45 h depart to Suyckutambo. We will make a tour of this beautiful natural landscape composed of three rivers, in addition to its curious rock formations, a spectacular work of nature.
  • Depart to Espinar.
  • Lunch.
  • Depart to Cusco.
  • Transfer to the hotel.
  • Dinner and rest.

DAY 5: Itinerary

  • Breakfast.
  • Free morning.
